Zozobra's a great looking character to embody gloom and anxiety. Kinda sad to see him go up in smoke. Surprised there hasn't been a 'save Zozobra' petition, from the non gloomers, Lol.

 

Oh, but all for a just cause. Let's hope his sacrifice is a powerful gloom remover, for those that need it. Such rituals can have powerful impact for many.

@Kachina624 Tonight at 8:00 is a Zozobra Special on True Crime followed by Zozobra: Live at 9:00. I am guessing KOAT controls True Crime as one of its channels. I am recording both.

 

Turns out both shows will be on ABC as well.

As an east-coaster, I never even heard of this fascinating throw-back.  Sounds delightfully pagan!  Shades of Wicker Man perhaps.
