It wasn't directed at you. I'm not noticing you holding onto old grudges. And regardless you can and will do whatever you want.

ETA: I deleted the gif.

We don't need a "good news" forum. If you want to post something that you think is good news, we have two perfectly fitting forums for that.

@suzyQ3 Yes but where are the arrows letting us know where these nuggets of joy are, hence the reason for wanting a separate category.

@agb80, you don't need directions. Besides, sometimes what is a so-called good news topic might not even be regarded as such by some.

Really, just take a minute or less to peruse the two obvious forums. It's not that complicated.

And if you don't see a happy, happy heading, start one yourself.

Re: We need another category called Good News

I doubt there would be many threads on a Good News forum. Then, what can be a response, post after post of that's great, congratulations, way to go...? Like the Happy Birthday threads, ever read those?

@candys mine

But if they're posting good news, they don't need their day turned around, it's already heading in a good direction.

Re: We need another category called Good News

@agb80    People frequently suggest new categories but mods said years ago that there would be no new categories and they've held firm.  None have been added.

Just as one person's trash can be another person's treasure, one person's good news may not be thought of as good by another.

I always thought there were plenty of categories already. If one has what they think is good news to share, find a category it falls into.
