Never liked stainless. Cold and industrial. SS always reminds me of my first job working in a hospital kitchen. SS everything.

This is no longer popular, but about 9 yrs ago, there was this kitchen look: black granite and stainless steel. I've always thought it looked like the City Morgue.

I would have to agree with you, Burnsite. I don't think even visualizing it sounds appealing. Nice to "see" you by the way.

Oh goody! By the time our nice old white fridge conks out, maybe just maybe we can replace with something OTHER than the horrid ugly industrial stainless, which appears to be the only option out there at the moment. Phew!

I've been shopping for a new fridge, but have not seen a model of this new white ice color in any store where I've been. It's hard to find anything but SS. It's about all you see in the appliance stores. I want a plain white one.

ITA, Topaz. I have never really cared for stainless in my kitchen. It looks too industrial or something. I think it looks better in restaurant kitchen, and not in a home setting.

rondell I agree. I hate to say it but all that stainless always reminded me of a morgue. Very cold looking. I love the metallic copper refrigerator, photo above. That is so warm and pretty. I'm happy with what I have.
