After 30 years in Boston I'm enjoying no snow in NC.

I live at high altitude in Colorado. This morning it was 2 degrees (with wind chill) and always (albeit 3 months out of the year) snow on the ground somewhere in the yard: Even if just a small patch. If we didn’t have snow up here I would be worried. Up here we stock up and hunker down.

OMGosh......since I last posted, it has started to snow.  The parking lot, my car, and all other cars are covered with it.  Very large flakes are coming down.  Wonder how much we will get......

We've had snow before Thanksgiving before and we're supposed to get snow Sunday and Monday here. I'm excited as we got very little last year.

Our first snow was on 10/28, just a good dusting.  On 10/29, we had 3" in Anchorage.  No snow forecast for the next 9 days, and temps will range from 25* to 43*.

@Katcat1, my condolences.  Of all the vulgar 4 letter words in the world, S N O W is the most offensive one for me.  I loathe it!  Stay warm, stay safe!

HOLY COW! We're getting down to 8 degrees tonight. BRRR. Hope anyone wishing for Fall is happy. I'm in the hermit mode. My entire body is on strike. Not surfacing until Spring!!

It is, as the weatherman said this morning, "pipe bursting temps tonight." It is already feeling brutal out there this evening. But, this morning we woke to a beautiful winter wonderland. I don't believe I have ever witnessd fall colored leaves in yellows and reds, and green leaves on some trees, geraniums still blooming and snow icing everything in a magical white. I took many pictures of this colorful and magical morning .Of course the snow started dropping off everything as soon as the temps warmed some. I always feel sorry for the deer that will have spent their last day on earth after tonight as deer hunters start at sun up tomorrow. They will have to endure a very cold night tonight for their last day on earth.
