I was born in Pasadena, CA and I remember how exciting it was to see them coming down the street every year in the Rose Parade.

when Busch Gardens (FL) was owned by Budweiser it was such a beautiful evening to see them in the holiday parade all dressed in the holiday garb. Absolutely a Christmas Norman Rockwell moment. Afterwards, you could visit the stables just a lovely site.
Sadly, as everything else the company sold to foreign investor and the Clydesdales are no longer there along with that "free" sample of beer on your way out of the park.
thanks for sharing a nice evening!

I wanted to post a pic...so many are beautiful & iconic, but these 2 made me smile.

I was also fortunate to have seen them in-person, and they were sooo glorious that I got a lump in my throat.
Been a horse lover since I was a little girl.
They really are immense-yet-cuddly at the same time.

Thank you for posting! They are beautiful.
I saw them once a long, long time ago. Was so unprepared for how HUGE they are.
Remember the picture of the little kid looking up at an elephant and falling over backward because he over-tipped? That's what it was like.
Would love to see them again.

When I was living and working in the Dallas area, I saw a team of the Clydesdales behind the scenes at the Texas State Fair. I'm a tall gal but standing next to them I felt very short and insignificant. What magnificent creatures they are.

Adult males can top 18 hands!
(FYI: horse height is measured just up to their wither/shoulder)
