The, enjoying food, thread made me think of all those who believe that we are all the same genetically. Food that is healthy for one is not healthy for all and it makes no sense to disregard genetics.
The body mass index and those who came up with it shouldn't be relied upon when a person considers what their best weight should be. Muscular people are considered too fat according to this index.
In the days before money was made by food experts and diet gurus, people, for the most part, weighed what they should. Then, people ate what they liked and that was usually the kind of foods that had been handed down through generations of those with the same ethnic background.
Now we have allergies, osteoporosis, and everyone is on meds for one thing or another. People may live longer but with knee/hip replacements, recycled body parts, oxygen tanks, and dozens of pills.
