As of tomorrow, it will be exactly two months since I have gotten any rain at all at my house in north metro Atlanta. It last rained on Sept. 2nd. And no rain in sight for at least the next week.
I would post more, but I can't think of anything else to say. 2 months.

That is awful. I do remember several times when there were water restrictions for long hot summers-
no watering, no car washes
but I don't think I've ever had 2 months of no rain.
I wonder what the poor birds and animals do.

@gidgetgh. Not a drop of rain in Albuquerque in October. Just one 20 minute shower at my house since last Spring. I can't even remember the last good rain. We're in "extreme drought". First time in 24 years I've had to water my shrubbery and trees which are well established.
Day after endless day of bright sunny skies.

We have had rain every single weekend for the past 8 or 9 weeks. Pretty much ruined the Fall activities we wait so long for. And Fall foliage was disappointing to say the least. The leaves got wet and just fell on the ground. Wanna swap?

I'm in SE Coastal GA, wish I could send ya'll some!
I have groups of mushrooms popping up on the lawn.
(No, not that kind of mushrooms) we'd have to go to a local cow farm for those, LOL!)

Haven't had any rain where I live since last Spring.

Oh dear, I do feel for you -
Meanwhile we are living in the flood zone of NJ, one block from a river.
The floods, hurricanes and heavy storms have been horrendous for the last 25 years, and now looking forward to moving south!

Oh boy, if you would like to come here to South Florida we have had such a rainy summer as far as I can remember over the past few years.
I read it will continue into the winter. A wet, cloudy (very depressing) winter to come.
And again comes the oppressive heat. This was also the hottest summer for all of us who live in Palm Beach county. Everyone stayed inside.
The humidity was just awful, and I don't see it changing anytime soon be it "el nino" or la nina".
I will never purchase another sweater, boot, nothing ever again.
It's a waste of money. ![]()
