DH and I were on our walk this morning, and we came to the end of the block and made a right turn.  There the javelina was! He startled us and I guess we startled him as well.  You can see his hair is all raised and staring us down.   We just kept going, albeit we stepped off the sidewalk and he kept on munching whatever he was munching.  By the way, he was a big one.

Never seen one before, it looks like a pig,of sorts are those quills, or hairs on its back,does not look friendly?

@Pezzie That guy scares me. They can be aggressive. I am glad he was as surprised as you. The fact you had enough presence of mind to get a photo is admirable. This guy is indeed large.

@On It  Ha, I didn't take the photo.  DH did.  I stepped off the sidewalk immediately.  As the saying goes, Mama didn't raise a dummy! Lol

@goldensrbest  It is a javelina.  Usually they don't bother us, but he got startled, so put on his mean look.  That's hair not quills.
