That was a wonderful post and reminder to be kind @SandySparkles
I believe and hope that most of the responses here are meant to be helpful, often giving information and experiences that are similar to the poster. My most important thought here, is to remind ourselves to be kind to ourselves too. Tomorrow is always a new day to try and be our better selves.

I don't see that posters here need to be scolded or reminded that we don't all think alike on this topic, but I think most all of us responded genuinely and kindly to what we were told and what facts we had.
This forum has it's ups and downs and all who post regularly here have their own thoughts and views--which is what we are here for--and right to express them.
Nowhere in @SandySparkles, in my opinion, does she scold anyone or even imply that to any posters. Kindness is always a given, even though we all have the right to express our views.
@ciao_bella And all of us have different ideas about what scolding is. I find it puzzling when posters want us all to follow their rules, play to their tune, and live up to their expectations. It is all relevant what one sees as wonderful another sees as annoying, etc.
On here we just live and let live as much as possible, and as the mods see, and try to respect what others conribute--whether they meet our expectations or not. Of course there are expectations, but no one poster dictates the tenor of this board although many have made a run at if over the decades.

Beautiful words @SandySparkles ..and so true IMO
I have been thinking about this for days...of course ..What If ....never leaves my mind.
We can not change the past but for me this has convinced me even more than I already was convinced that it is never wrong to visit the Urgent Care of ER when we are not feeling well.
I think we all know our our body and know when something is off.
I have recently had family members with UTI's that have made them not think straight or correctly. I am so thankful that they had family members that immediately took them to the ER. This seems to be happening more and more in my family for some unknown reason.
I agree that ECBG had to be very ill ...RIP.

I have wanted to post something similar, @DREAMON.
While we will never know if it would have helped ECBG to call 911 or to go to the ER, no one should ever be afraid or embarrassed to seek such help.

@tansy ,
Exactly.....in the case of my brother and SIL (2 different family's) who both had very bad UTI's ...they could not get their thoughts together to express themselves. It was so upsetting.
Luckily their children and spouses took them to the ER even though it was against their wishes.
Neither remember how sick they were and how the were rejecting treatment.
This actually happened to my brother twice.

@Sooner I do agree with you that we all contribute here and not all of us agree, and that's fine. And , yes, there have been some who have tried to dictate the tenor of this board.
Having said that, when someone uses the word 'scolding' it seems pretty straight forward what it means; to reprimand. No one is asking anyone to follow 'their' rules, especially in @SandySparkles original post. It's all about being kind and respectful of others in words and actions, even if one doesn't agree.
p.s. You're right. The mods do a great job here too!

Agree with you, @Sooner. Can see by the hearts others do as well. Also feels a little "off" to bring EGBG in the thread agenda or campaign or lecture or whatever it is, as she wasn't one to tell or direct others how to post, she instead led by example & was polite even to posts that weren't as polite to her. Boards will be different with a sad feeling for a long time.
I hope she may rest in peace with the angels.💔
