@Sooner wrote:It has previously been mentioned and discussed about how much speculation there was. It is not an easy topic when posters post so much private information and ask for input. Then it becomes pretty much fair game for discussion, which in itself is debatable.
I don't see that posters here need to be scolded or reminded that we don't all think alike on this topic, but I think most all of us responded genuinely and kindly to what we were told and what facts we had.
This forum has it's ups and downs and all who post regularly here have their own thoughts and views--which is what we are here for--and right to express them.
Nowhere in @SandySparkles, in my opinion, does she scold anyone or even imply that to any posters. Kindness is always a given, even though we all have the right to express our views.

Naturally, we only know what people share, but this is a good reminder to remain positive in our online conversations.

How abt just respecting people various opinions abt various topics - sometimes we just have to agree to disagree. There are posters here who verbally attack other posters who do not share the same opinion .

@SandySparkles Bless you for bringing this to the forefront of the forum. There are many who have never requested a prayer that truly needs one and has a heavy burden. People are always quick to judge and slow to encourage and lift others up. If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours......they probably need it!

For the most part I find the forums interesting and enjoyable. Even though I do not know anyone personally, I feel as though there are many posters I do know. Communicating is important as is socializing. If the forums provide that to people, it is a good outlet. No, we do not know what is going on in people''s lives and it is fine for posters to be private, I respect that. We should as a rule always be kind, understanding and not judge others even if we feel the need to. The passing of Cathy is sad for all of us but I am glad for all the times I interacted with her posts. Her suffering is over and she is at peace.

This is also true IRL - we never know what another person is going through.

@SandySparkles A beautiful post from a beautiful soul! Thank you for starting this thread. I am one who does not share alot of my health struggles on here but I am supportive of those who do and are in need of a friend! Each poster on here is special and I am here for you if you need it! Love to all!

You are so right. I've always tried to live by the motto of being kind to someone because you never know what they're going through. Your smile might be the smile that gets someone through a really horrible day. Your kindness to just one person may start a chain reaction of kind words or deeds.
As for ECBG, I don't think our paths ever crossed.
Her initials are definitely familiar but I don't recall having much if any conversation with her. I'm so sorry for those here that were close to her and of course her family.

You are so right. We do not know what others are going through. Some people are pretty forthright in whatever is going on in their lives, while others choose to remain fairly quiet with their struggles. I think it is important to give grace to everyone.
