WOW!  Honestly, I havent read back yet, beyond the 1st page of this thread, so apologize if this info has already been reported.

Just heard/saw/read:

      Online Searches Spike ahead of <snip>

      Cars -  *UP*  30%

      Imports vs U.S. Brands  UP  2x - 4x

What difference does that make?  If it were a concern for the OP or anyone else that owns a larger vehicle, they would have purchased something smaller.

@brandiwine Why so defensive regarding @chessylady question?  Maybe she's just curious?  People ask all the time about gas mileage when someone gets a car.

I haven't read this large post so I might have missed it:

how much did you end up paying for it?

Now that IS kind of too personal a ?  IMO.

ETA:  However, I do remember the OP posting she paid for it in cash.

@GoneButNotForgotten

Really? Did anyone ever tell you it's not polite to ask someone how much they paid for something? But if you really want to know, that information is easily discovered by Googling it.

Warning

@SamBrown

54 years ago when I was 12 years old I took my horse swimming with a group of other horseback Riders taking their horses swimming. My parents told me not to but I did it anyway. I Killed My Horse. There is absolutely nobody else to blame but myself. The story was told in response to a question in this forum asking if you've ever done anything dangerous. I did and the outcome was that my horse drowned because 1. I took him swimming and 2. I used roping reins instead of split reins.  I had him in the lake too long and he got tired and got his feet Tangled in the roping reins.  In the process of trying to get his bridle off for several minutes, I ended up with lacerations to the head face chest and shoulders and taken to the ER. Some here feel that I should still feel the same trauma and sadness as the day it happened and crucified me for not.  Some here seem to think they know how my heart feels about killing my horse 54 years after the fact. Some here seem to think that a 12-year-old should be as responsible as a 66-year-old. But some here just like to pounce on others whenever given the slightest opportunity.

@monicakm  No, as I recall your horrific horse story had NOTHING to do with the original thread topic you responded to.  IMO you posted it for shock value and attention, which you succeeded in getting.  And not appropriate. As another poster said, not everything should be posted esp. on a shopping MB.
