@hopi My oldest friend (we met when we were 3 and will be turning 72 this year) and I were talking on the phone today and we both agreed how lucky we were when it came to having great parents. Hers were like my second parents and vice versa. We were military and our families became lifelong friends. Yes, they are truly missed.
