We Apologize For Any Inconvenience?

We Apologize For Any Inconvenience this has caused..   Do they really?  I mean do they really care that you were inconvenienced? Or is that just something you are supose to say?

This is in refernce to ANY place that has you on hold, any flight delays/cancellations etc Any type of Service disruptions..   Im sure we all have horror stories.. Excessive hold times playing unwanted music etc  Longest wait times for me are the Post office & IRS

 Just  Ranting.....Guess I'm just tired of hearing that

@aj1980.  What would you rather hear them say?

I’d rather they fix the issue(s) and also compensate financially.

Would you prefer "Sux to be you"? 🤷‍♀️😆  Things happen that are out of people's control sometimes and they're in a bind like everyone else.  Oftentimes some compensation is available.  Because my husband works from home and needs Internet access, we've been credited a small amount when there's been a problem on a couple of occasions.

@aj1980

Many times the companies' employees have absolutely nothing to do with whatever it was that "inconvenienced" you.    Computer glitches, tropical storms, shipping delays ... the list is endless.

Nevertheless, I think those inconveniences should be acknowledged ... even if nothing can be done.

IMO, we're all usually doing the best we can, even if it isn't enough to please everyone all the time.

Exercise some emotional generosity and cut people some slack.  Maybe it'll be less frustrating for you.

@aj1980   I remember when i was laid off during the pandemic and I had to call unemployment since they weren't paying me for the first two months that I filed and I needed that money.   I was on hold for 8 hours straight with a truly annoying Taylor Swift guitar riff that was 10 seconds long playing over and over and over with "we're sorry for the inconvenience, please continue to hold" every 20 minutes.  I honestly thought I was going to go insane hearing that hold music and the "sorry for the inconvenience" message every 20 minutes from morning to night that day.  When I finally got to a real person, I was so exhausted and grateful to hear a human voice and I had less than 5 minutes to tell him the issue since the unemployment office was closing. The employee solved the issue and I got my money that week. Smiley Very Happy

How about this?

"We have a website listed at the bottom of each page where you can report this situation"

'Like Amazon has a link for reporting any mistakes/problem with the listing".

@LTT1   That's so true- websites make it intentionally difficult to find help, especially if you want a phone number for customer service.  Another thing that gets me is very fine print on warranties- I bought a handgeld light up compact mirror for Banity Impressions and the mirror broke when it lightly touched something and Vanity Impressions said that they couldn't honor the warranty since it didn't break in transit.  It was for the best though, since I went to an antique store and have a beautiful vintage oval shaped handheld mirror that's real glass and is beautifully beveled and set in hand polished wood.

Sounds like you ended up with a beautiful mirror!
