I will take a guess and say that the Christmas thread was started to cause controversy unlike the Hanukah thread.

Just guessing here but I think the difference is that the Hanukkah thread is for greetings and good wishes while the other thread invited a discussion of why people may be offended by terminology used in regard to Christmas/holiday greetings; a subject that has been attempted numerous times and not once did it end well.

@cotton4me

ITA.

One thread was beautiful, positive & uplifting.

The other thread was negative & 'baiting'.

Maybe we all need to look inward & see why a negative thread would even be written at all....especially during this beautiful time of the year.

@ladyroxanne

Thank you, I will gladly accept the happy Hanukkah  wishes although as a Christian I do not celebrate.  One can never have too many good wishes on their side.

I was not trying to be controversial... but yes it is a controversial subject.   I was just curious.   I have no issues with other religions.    Happy everything to all...  And I wasn't referring to anyone here.. just the general consensus.     Sorry Wayne... Im sure this will get deleted too but it seems QVC pushes hmm objects of faith on customers.
