Re: Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink

[ Edited ]

We would not be happy with a neighbor coming into our yard to try out our faucets anytime (but especially at 2am).  It would set off our security cameras and really set off our pup.

@Mj12 Yeah, I can understand being annoyed with having no water, but the running around in neighbors yards I found to be kinda crazy!

Gish.........it was only a water issue - what if it'd been a fire?

Talk about overkill...................

So sorry, @Mindy D ! Hope it's all fixed soon!!!

I never filled our water jugs before our winter storm, and was so thankful the power never went out. Worse than without heat, to me, is without water!

I don't think your husband should have been running into neighbors' yards at 2 am and trying their faucets.  It could have been frightening for the neighbors and dangerous for your husband.

Please wait until morning the next time it happens.  Then call the water company or check on Nextdoor to see if anyone else has a problem.

Boy, talk about an over-reaction. If someone were running around my neighborhood in the middle of the night, trying out the outdoor faucets of other houses and yelling, they'd be having an unpleasant conversation with the police regarding their suspicious activity.

Edited to add: I know from very recent experience that even if the water is off, the toilet should have flushed without any problem at least once. There's sufficient water in the tank to handle that. The tank/bowl wouldn't refill or only do so partially.

You can scoop buckets of water from your swimming pool to flush the toilet

@San Antonio Gal

Especially if they woke me up when they did it.

@San Antonio Gal   People around here use guns if you're in their yard

@Mindy D , I hope your water situation is fixed quickly.  It's not fun to be without water!  And you're right, it's always something.  Hang in there.
