As to domestic abusers, if they had a criminal record they would be denied a permit. As to lists, it's unconstitutional to deny rights to people who have no record, have done nothing wrong but have turned up on an arbitrary, subjective list perhaps because of whom they know, where they have traveled, or who their relatives happen to be.

I just had to repeat your post...

I hope everyone reads it VERY carefully.

Thank you for your honest and frank assessment of your position.

BTW.....the person that blew up a police dog in France was a woman and she was wearing a burka where she was concealing her suicide vest.

And she first stood in the window screaming, "Help me!" so as to lure as many policemen as possible to their certain deaths. Fortunately, they were terrorist savvy and didn't fall for it.

In the news today, a Syrian refugee family has been waiting since 2012 to relocate to the USA and they were supposed to go to Indiana, now they are going to be relocated to Connecticut.

The vetting is a long and arduous process.

Mayor De Blasio blasted Gov. of NJ Christie about his comment of specifically saying he did not think it was appropriate for small children to be brought in.

Dave Ross of CBS Newsradio 88 just had a commentary about this:

@occasionalrain One might assume that but a few States don't believe this.

The refugees are heavily vetted - some people are receiving incorrect information.

Not true!!  The media states that they are not vetted at all--that there is no background information on them and that we do not have a relationship with their country that would provide such information if it were documented.  Where did you get information that they are "heavily vetted"?

Not only the media are saying this, also the head of the FBI and Homeland Security. Syria has NO records to share with us.

You seem to not realize that the the US has a National instant background check system. It's not run or determined by the individual states, it's run by the federal government. Either you pass, or you don't. Concealed carry permits are granted by individual states though.
