JUst interested in getting a idea of how many hours average in a day the TV in your house is tuned to QVC?  I don't care whether you are specifically sitting and watching or just have it on in the background while you do other things but how many hours (average) in a day is it on?

For me the answer is zero.  WHat little QVC shopping I do now is done strictly on line.  I may watch a video of a item I am interested but that's it.  YEars ago when Kathy Levine was a host it was on probably 3-4 hours a day.  How times have changed!

@KathyPet Rarely unless I am looking for a specific item.  I do enjoy checking in with the tribe on this forum....I've found most posters to be informative, smart, funny, and supportive of one another.

I used to watch an entire hour or more at a time way back when

If it was Jane's Sunday morning sterling silver show, oh yeah.

Or Kathy Levine, she was such a hoot, I'd watch an entire hour at a time.

I work so I don't watch much during the week.   I filp around watching news or other programs weeknight evenings, I doubt I watch 1 hour a day.    Weekend, maybe a total of 2-3 hours a day, if not actually watching, then it's on in the background.

Sometimes I'll have it on as background noise but since I can no longer view any of the product videos I'm not going to be purchasing!

It seems that a LOT of people can no longer watch product videos due to some of the Q's bad servers.  It appears to not affect everyone but it does to many....very frustrating!  I know it's not on my end becuase I've tried watching on my iPhone, iPad, MacAir, & PC desktop...none work!

I watch kitchen shows and holiday events mostly.

And many of those are on in the background while I'm doing other things.

There are weeks at a time I don't put the channel on except to check the program guide, and when I see days on end of fashion, beauty, handbags and jewelry, I don't tune back in again until something worth watching comes on.

@KathyPet- it's about Zero for me also.

During the day, my husband pretty much has custody of the living room tv. I could certainly change the channel if something interested me or go to another room, but I usually don't bother.

I used to love to watch QVC. I'd specifically tune in for the 50 in 50 shows. I loved Silver Style on Sunday mornings, both the one hour and four hour shows. I watched them religiously.  Made a point of it.

Thanksgiving weekend, I'd watch for hours, as I wrapped gifts.

What really has kind of ruined watching QVC for me is the repetitive products and the overly lengthy presentations on all products.

Weekends are the worst, especially Sunday's.  The TSV's are usually the same things over and over (Vitamix, Bed, computer, recliner, my pillow, Kitchen Aid mixer). And then they have hour long shows dedicated just to one product. So say I'm not interested in a pillow, then they've lost me for several hours that day. Not even going to tune in.

And I don't understand why the presentations have to be so long. Really.....it's a set of plastic bowls with lids. Run through the sizes, show me the colors and move on.

Finally, if I'm going to watch, Sunday nights at 8:00 or 9:00 are really good for me and, more often than not, if I tune in then, it's a full hour dedicated to the TSV.  I quickly change the channel and they've lost me again.

I wish they'd have more variety and not just show the same brands over and over (Dooney, VIonic, etc).

I don't understand why they continue to stick to their merchandise and program models. They're getting stale.

They could offer such great loyalty programs- yearly shipping fee like Amazon, $$ off if you reach a certain threshold in fashion purchases or whatever. Reward certificates after you've spent a certain amount (like Talbots does). Offering 5 or 6 easy pays and calling that a great deal, leaves me absolutely cold.

Finally, I would LOVE to watch more QVC. I like watching the hosts and I certainly love the message boards. But they need some serious changes.

I wish they'd have a customer advisory group. I'd love to be on it.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@KathyPet

I don't watch QVC TV or any other shopping channel. For entertainment, I watch movies and TV shows, not hardcore sales pitches. I'm not looking for excuses to buy things I don't need.

If I need something I search on the site online. I usually check the Lunchtime Specials and Primetime Specials and get notices about what the TSV is.

I lieten to music when I am doing things around the house.

I'm a flipper so I'll check and flip.

I just have to mention when I saw those leggings last night, I had to stay on the channel for maybe 2 minutes, I couldn't believe the patterns I saw and

THEN the gal said she went on a retreat and never took them off!

Then I flipped.
