I used to watch the Q all the time back in the day when all the shows were a pleasure to watch. Especially the jewelry shows. I miss all that. Now everything is the same thing all the time. HSN and Evine have so much more to offer. Evine has many more jewelry shows and they give you so much to pick from. QVC has these so caled gem people. All they do is come on and describe the itme. The host can do that. They don't travel and bring designs to us and tell us about the stones the found. I like Jay King on HSN and the other ones on Evine.

I totally agree. QVC is nothing compared to what it once was. Sigh

I absolutely love Evine's jewelry shows. I never bought from Victoria Wieck on HSN but she says she's allowed more artistic freedom on Evine because she doesn't have to produce items in such massive quantities. I have bought so many of her pieces. I still like Rarities and some of Colleen Lopez's pieces on HSN.  I hardly ever watch QVC anymore although I did buy a few Ripka pieces yesterday.  I have actually gotten some nice pieces on JTV. I was very skeptical at first but I have been pleasantly surprised...especially their chrome diopside and black spinel.

None of the QVC hosts have the personality of hosts in the past.   For whatever reason if you show any personality, you are GONE.

I like watching Evine, I like their vendors and their products are very different from Q and well made.

I've never purchased anything from JTV yet but like anything else, you have to be a smart shopper.   I'm sure they sell lower quality pieces but they also seem to sell some really nice things as well.  Their flash sales are awesome.   I'm a fan of black spinel too, I just purchased a beautiful black spinel bracelet at Sam's Club.   I also shop at TJ Maxx for jewelry, they have a very good selection of nice pieces.

I think the Q has lost so much interest since they got rid of so many designers and vendors, except those few of most interest to them.

I see about l2 vendors plus the Q ownership, and that's just a lot of repeats. Plus, with Q2 and Beauty IQ, are just mostly repeats ad infinitum. They're not there to bring anything new and interesting, but just to hopefully find more viewers..

Software, I thought JTV must have lower quality items but I found out it's not necessarily the case. I even took a chance on an expensive diamond ring and almost fell over when I opened it. I was sure I was going to send it back. It is gorgeous. I'm sure if I used a jeweler's loop, I'd see imperfections but to the naked eye, it's clear and sparkles.  It rivals some of my very expensive rings and I've gotten many compliments on it.  I too buy fine jewelry at TJ Maxx. It's hit or miss but sometimes I hit the jackpot!

@hovis  I began watching QVC from the very beginning. It was fun....if the products or shows were not of interest, the hosts had enough personality to keep me entertained....not anymore.

ITA that the presentations are mindless repetitions all day and mostly pre-recorded on Q2 (never watch it). Don’t get Beauty IQ, but doesn’t matter....I purchase my makeup/skincare elsewhere w/o shipping and don’t have to wait a week.

Lots of great TV on other channels, Netflix, movies to record, series on BRAVO....

Re: Watching Les and Less

[ Edited ]

Why do they need a vendor for Diamonque....that just adds to the cost of the product.....it's fake diamonds---SHEESH!!!

Now when QVC showed gem jewelry at reasonable prices I enjoyed hearing about the gems from Peyton Kelley (who is no longer with the Q).............And I do enjoy listening to the jewelry deisgners themselves, but not these new talking heads............

The prices on the clothes have entered the $60 dollar range on up........the prices arent competitive--stop comparing prices to Boutiques....even at Macys and Dillards I can find clothes of similar style and material for a lot less.....and it some cases the local stores have better quality and consistent sizing too.....

And then despite having a whole channel devoted to Beauty Products, and whole days on the regular Q channel devoted to beauty....they have to load up the fashion shows with beauty products too....and these are lengthy presentations with models putting on cosmecuticals...And on the weekends its ALWAYS (well at least 99.9% of the time) IT Cosmetics, Argan Oil, and Philosophy....how much of these same products can one use before it goes bad...you cant buy it week after week after week, your driving your regular customers away .....NO WONDER Q USA REVENUES were flat for 2017....Yep WATCHING LESS WHICH MEANS BUYING LESS!!

I just switched off QVC 2.  The female voices were beginning to sound like fingernails on a blackboard.

I tuned into Smithsonian channel instead.

@febe1

And whats funny is that many of the repeat products are things you can find at local stores....and you can even order online and pick it up at the local store--or have it delivered with free shipping---and you get your item quicker!
