I've been having a problem with fraudulent charges on my AMEX. Getting them fixed, got a new card etc.
The latest charge was from QVC. It did not match any charge in my order status so I called the Q.
The Q verified that I had no such charge in my account, but could not explain - and did not want to check the AMEX charge - saying I should take it up with AMEX (which I am doing.)
What concerns me is that apparently it is possible to take an AMEX (or probably any other card) number and open a new Q account and use it til the card is canceled or you are caught whichever comes first.
So just as a warning, watch your accounts.
