Washington is #1

[ Edited ]

Once again, Washington State, has been selected, as the #1 State, in the country, by US News and World Report.

I've lived in Washington, my entire life. I was born in Mt Vernon, lived in Spokane, for most of my life, and recently moved to Vancouver, for a career opportunity.

It's a great place to live, and great to get the accolades, again! 🌲

I was wondering the same thing too.

I've never been to Washington state and used to want to visit Seattle but after all of the endless protests this past summer, I've changed my mind.

I'm sure it's a pretty state but all have their pros & cons.

@rockygems123  I think it's according to the U.S. News and World Report annual Best States rankings for 2021.

I'm just glad my state is first in the percent of Covid vaccines administered. Hoping I'll soon be able to get one.

Iowa is ranked 12 but I'd give it a 47 due to covid handling, as well as the horrendous bills pending and signed into law so far this year.

Washington is the 1 of 3 states I haven't been to yet. The others are Hawaii and Alaska. I'd love to visit Washington sometime.

It's true that every state does have it's good and bad, very good and very bad!

I used to live in one of the top cities in the country and always thought it maybe could be considered number one IF you had money!

So they must have asked one side of the street. Because really on one side you would have expensive houses, even mansions and right within walking distance, sometimes right across the street, a section 8

people who didn't have enough to eat, nor did their children.

So many wonderful programs and activities-if you had the money.

Also depending on which area you lived the schools and their supplies, and sports programs, music etc and level of excellence was vastly different.

So somehow I think they ask a certain group of people.

And you have these shiny wonderful city promotionals that are not related to real life for most.

It would be very interesting to interview many actual people living there what they thought about their ratings; well, just as you all are doing hereSmiley Happy!

I like when they talk about the people, the passions of the city, their goals, what they care about-helping the homeless, quality education for all, reduction in crime etc.
