I just rinse them off.  If there is something under the wax then Is guess I'm dead.  Just not going to worry about it.  I did get deathly sick from e coli on raw bean sprouts years ago, so those are out of my diet forever.

For a second I thought I read the title as Washing Vegas.  LOL

 

I rinse veggies like broccoli, green beans, etc.

 

I use foaming hand soap on soft skin and hard skin fruits and veggies and then rinse and dry. 

 

This is why I do not buy pre-cut veggies and fruits, either.  I don't know if the outsides have been cleaned and the knives used to cut can draw bacteria into the produce; jmoymmv.

 

I don't buy special washes and I don't soak in any other solutions.
