There's no way I can forward a link of an email I've received, but wanted you to know that today's Consumer Reports email newsletter talked about washers and dryers. 

 

I'm sure you can find a way to search it somehow.

No matter what state you are in, if you are ordering from Home Depot and your hook ups are located in the garage, confirm they will actually install them in the garage.  This probaby goes for any store. 

 

I got mixed messages from different reps at the 800 number for Home Depot.  Yes, they will install, no they will not install.

 

Appliances arrived and no, they would not install a gas dryer in the garage as I needed a pedestal.  No one told me this, but even if they did, I wouldn't have purchased one at $250, but I would have had my contractor lined up to install the gas dryer.  Luckily for me, he was able to come out later that day.
