One of the hundreds of "experts" said you should take off everything you wore out (say shopping) immediately once home....and wash them. That is for each time you leave the house and come home.
This seems like a bit much to ask people to do that are already struggling with anti virus protocol changes in their life.
And, not everyone has the ability to wash every garment everyday if you leave the house....especially if you have say a family of 5.... Add to that, many people do not have washers and dryers in their home place.... and a laundry mat is not a good gathering place to to go to for virus control.
I will not be doing this myself.
Will you?

No. I don't believe it's necessary. Seems a bit neurotic if you ask me. I am mindful about what I am touching when out and what is touching me! After hanging my jacket I wash my hands before I touch anything else in my home.

I read that virus droplets could get on your clothing and stay active for up to 9 days.Washing is probably a good idea.

@I am still oxox @I can't remember as I have been deluged with stuff from different health sites.I read from one that the virus can stay in the air for up to three hours so it makes sense it could get on clothing.

I rarely need to wear a jacket but I already do enough laundry. I'm certainly not going to change my clothes multiple times a day just because I went out. I also heard where they recommend women get a cloth purse that can be thrown in the washer. That's not going to happen either.

What do "they" suggest we use to clean all that stuff with? Laundry detergent was almost sold out early last week when I was in the stores.

@Meowingkitty I just wipe down my purse with sanitary wipes....the handles and the bottom mostly....also my wallet and anything I touch when out that is in my purse
