In most parts of NYS patrons may sit at a bar with appropriate spacing, and food must be served.  It's up to each establishment to decide if they want customers sitting in the bar area.  Many don't because of close proximity to the bartender.

@Carmie  I have to admit, my first thought when I saw the title of this thread was,  🎵 Want some whiskey in your water?  Sugar in your tea? 🎵.    LOL

Now here's a twist on this concept:  a Denver bar owner has said that he will deny service to anyone who can not provide proof of vaccination.   A different take on handing out a reward for a proactive measure.

Denial of service takes this down a different path.  Interesting to see how it plays out.
