When I was in high school, my dad bought a brand new 65 Ford Galaxie. It was blue-green and one big beautiful car. I learned to drive on a Falcon and was scared to death when I had to drive that car. My dad kept his cars pristine and did all the work on them. Fond memories.

Scottie- those crash tests were something else.

Azgal ~ No way!!!! DH's car is red and was originally a blue green color...the next thing we're going to do is to restore it to its original color. I dorve the car once after a few glasses of wine...never again...it's a hog!

DH used to have some REALLY old cars. A 1930 pontiac and a 1929 Model A phaeton. He sold them but he really loves cars!

I know what you mean about it being a hog. We were driving that car to take me to college and when my dad got tired he made me drive. My mom wouldn't drive it. The Falcon was her's. I didn't get my licence until after I graduated so you can imagine how scary that was especially on roads I'd never been on.Dad has confidence in me which was nice. Of course he was the one who taught me to drive. LOL

I don't remember the name of the color was it was really pretty.

Azgal ~ It is just a big boat of a car....It turns like a bus, and I think gets 7 miles to the gallon. It must have been pretty intimidating for you to drive!

Wow! 7 mpg. Gas was cheap then. isn't the horsepower about 350?
