Walt Disney World Resort In August??

My daughter and her family are visiting Walt Disney World Resort this coming August. They would like us to join them but I am concerned about the August heat. I am sure I will melt :-) Also, they are staying at Disney's All Sports Resort and the reviews are just fair. Anyone have any experience of visiting the resort in August or perhaps familiar with the All Sports Resort? I would appreciate any info you may have to offer. Thank so much.
