Re: Walmart website non-delivery experience

Thanks @Foxxee no garages! I  did go out in the sidewalk and looked around, just in case, you know.  But the doorman was there.  He would have seen if anyone left just outside.

I've seen some of my WM items in my account with a message saying something about not receiving an item even though it says it has been delivered and to give it a couple of days. My items usually show up within a day or two after that.

@SilleeMee This is what he said was likely to happen.  Delays happen and I understand that.  I wouldn't have posted about that.

But I received no such message.

I received a false email and a false tracking record.  This really shook me and I think it's shameful!

@NYCLatinaMe

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a false tracking record. I didn't know they could do that. Tracking is done by scanning and geolocation. I don't understand how that could be falsified.

Re: Walmart website non-delivery experience

Sounds like they are depending too much on automated tracking and getting ahead of themselves. The first thing I would want to check would be if I had been charged for the order that I didn't get. I would demand a refund immediately and they could charge me again only after delivery confirmation.
I have ordered only once from Walmart and it was a disaster. They delivered my order to a vacant lot on my street. Not kidding. I crossed WM off my list. '

FedEx is "notorious" in my area for sending false notifications about delivery and for not following delivery instructions as to where to leave the package.

The package usually shows up, usually at the correct address, but much later than stated on the notification.

It's not worth getting so upset. It'll show up or it won't. WalMart will refund you if it's not delivered in a day or two.

I had this happen only once. It turned out the truck was hit by a car and deliveries happened the next day. I survived.

Re: Walmart website non-delivery experience

I guess it's "the luck of the draw".  I ordered merchanise at the Walmart website on Friday and received it (by FexEx) Sunday morning.  No rhyme or reason to deliveries.

This may not be of interest to anyone but me, but I ordered something from Etsy that was being shipped from Bulgaria (of all places) which was to be delivered in 6 weeks.  It took 3 months!  Got stuck in customs.  You just never know...

Man plans. God laughs.

Re: Walmart website non-delivery experience

Stuff happens, don't over think it.  Maybe he left it at the wrong building, maybe it fell off the truck, maybe it got stuck in the back of the truck, maybe he left it at the wrong apartment.  Nothing in life is 100% perfect and that includes deliveries.
