Thank you. Out of curiosity, I looked to see if we got the onions in this area. They're all over the state but not here.

😲Thank goodness for onion powder stored in the pantry!!😁 I've decided to go on an air diet, until they recall that too.😂
On a serious note, this is distressing news.😞 On top of everything else, I can't eat my beloved onions, but am grateful for recalls such as this that help keep us safe.😊👍
~~~All we need is LOVE💖
Makes me glad for all the Morris Farms Vidalias I have hanging in the cellar, although they're not the same as red.
My state has cases from the contaminated onions, but there are no stores in my state on Walmart's list.
Once again, the authorities are telling people to throw out the food. Uh-uh, bring it back to the seller and get a refund. No reason you should absorb the loss unless that's okay with you. You thought you were buying onions, not a dose of Salmonella Newport.
How many onion recall threads are you going to start - this is like the third one?
In defense of the OP, this is a nationwide problem and the recall is expanding. It's very helpful to have the PDF from Walmart that lists the stores in each state where contaminated onions were sold. I'm sure that list will grow.
The recall covers red onions, which are often used in summer salads and burgers, as well as other types, including sweet.
I support publicizing this well.
Guess we are not on the list. Just bought a couple bags of Vidalia onions. I cut them up & put in the freezer along with bell peppers, jalapeno peppers & celery so it's ready when we need it.
Thanks for posting because my town is on the list and I was gonna purchase some to put in my salad.
@CelticCrafter @These three are because the FDA recall and the two grocery chains have all published separately. The FDA has not published which stores are affected yet and only the individual stores know if they are selling individual onions derived from the affected lots.
