I'm glad. Most midwest grocery and other retail stores won't accept returns either. Grocery stores won't take can/bottle returns that won't go through the redemption machines. It's good to know they are doing this so employees are more protected.

Who woulld return essential items? The hoarders who scarfed up all the paper and cleaning products with hopes of selling them at a profit but now have no takers and are short of cash, that's who. Their get-rich-quick schemes backfired on them. Karma!

This is an interesting subject. I ordered one bath and one hand towel from Walmart last week. Both items were shipped by Overstock.com.

I did not like them and went to return section of walmart. The hand towel indicated I could return it; but the bath towel did not have that message. I was able to send a message to overstock.com at Walmart site & requested return/refund details from Overstock.

Walmart is actually processing refund and there was a message for me to keep the hand towel, donate it or whatever. I was stunned.

Now waiting for Overstock contact on what to do with the bath towel.

I was trying to match a new bath set and these towels just did not do it for me.

Thanks for this subject, because I think I now understand why

Walmart did not want me to return the hand towel.
