@PickyPicky3.  There seem to be many serious GPS errors.  I recently heard of a semi rig that was directed to a jeep 4-wheel drive road in the Rockies.  It took major wrecker assistance to extricate him from the precarious situation in which he found himself.

Re: Walmart Delivery Drivers' Cars

Many people drive for Lyft, Uber and the delivery services to pay for their luxury cars.  Some drive to pay for their luxury vacations.  It's the Gig economy that everyone talks about.  People can have 3 jobs to pay for the lives they want to live.

Re: Walmart Delivery Drivers' Cars

I was in Savannah for several days recently and called an Uber quite frequently.

I was shocked at how upscale the vehicles were and even made a joke that the next one surely would be a Rolls Royce.

One driver had what looked to be a brand new white Escalade and said he had a black one just like it at home because some people will only ride in black cars...okay...I didn't know that was a thing!

WalMart drivers, as someone said, use their own vehicles and all I have seen are very low end.

My only delivery is Instacart.  The shopper/drivers use their own cars.  Have no idea if Instacart gives them money for gas.  I never shop inside a supermarket.

Our Walmart has a congo line of customers trying to pick up their groceries daily.  It snakes around the building. Most Walmart shoppers apparently don't do delivery.

I've never tried Door Dash/Grubhub.  People across the street do.  The delivery drivers seem to you their own cars.

Two theories ring true.
It's a sign if the times. People are struggling and over their heads. Someone mentioned high cost car payments.
Another is, Walmart like many pay well for a PT side hustle.

It does, I'm a driver on the platform.

InstaCart does not reimburse for gas, the driver/shopper is responsible for all expenses related to one's vehicle.

Wal-Mart hires drivers using the Spark App.

Last guy that made a delivery here was driving a beat up old Toyota Avalon with no front bumper. He had a nice stereo though? It was so loud felt like the house was vibrating. I was wondering who was outside with that Boom Boom Boom!

Many of us take pride in our work, Walmart can address the removal of  unproductive and unprofessional drivers but are slow to do so.

Re: Walmart Delivery Drivers' Cars

I'm not sure if I'm following this correctly, is the problem with Wal-mart deliveries in private vehicles? And they are/ aren't in the best of shape? Does it matter as long as our orders get to us in a timely and safe manner
