Watching them airing this new race car toy that climbs the wall, laser guided. I know alot of folks will buy it but I can't see this toy car in my daughter's home ! My grandson has a ton of toy cars but driving this thing up a wall would drive her up the wall also !! I can see this toy knocking pictures off the wall, leaving marks on the wall. The vendor hit a item on her wall while presenting it ! She even put 2 of them on the wall and bumped into each other. Craziest thing I have ever heard of and there would be no way I would buy something like this. No way !! JMO

I agree. If my grandson would have had this when he was little and visiting my house I might have beat him. That is the most ridiculous toy I have ever seen. But, I'm not buying it so good luck to all who do.

Sounds like you don't like this toy and shouldn't buy it for your young family members. But, actually, most of your assertions about it are not valid. I own the thing, actually two do they can be "raced", and keep them around to play with kids who visit me with my adult friends, their parents/grandparents.
It doesn't make marks in the wall at all. The mechanism that propels the car are tiny wheels but not rubber. It doesn't skid or scrape, which is the way a mark would occur. They turn fast enough to propel the car but don't grip by digging in. It was demonstrated on white walls and no marks were left from the demo. I have beige walls and it does not scuff.
I think this toy is safe depending on the age of the kid that's operating it. It's definitely not strong enough to knock a picture off the wall.
The mass of the car itself isn't heavy enough to move a picture and the speed it goes is not enough for impact to knock a picture off hanging on a wire or a hook. I can't control your imagination or prediction based on your having no experience, but in fact part of the fun is to maneuver the car around things hanging on the wall. If there is a "driving error" this car is thwarted from motion by whatever it bumps into and must be repositioned to drive forward again, but when it bumps into something, it cannot crash hard enough to dislodge something like a framed photo or fine art. Yes, it ran into an object in the demonstration wall and it stopped running. Your own opinion that it coud knock something off the wall was proven untrue. The car stopped. The object stayed in place. I have gravity right here in my own home and the car cannot force something off the wall.
If I were to let a very young child, under 4 maybe, I'd not allow it to be run on the wall, only on the floor. Their judgement is limited, as is control of the beam, so sending it careening on the walls makes it out of reach to them. An adult can set the switch to stay at floor mode, not allow it to be played with except on a floor. Little kids can still get a kick out of it while supervised. Older kids will find out how fast it will be taken away if they play with it destructively whether run on the floor or wall. They understand consequences very well.
The car has to be recharged so it will very likely run out of power and force downtime that will divert kids to other activities. You don't say how old your grandson is, so I can't recommend it one way or the other for him. Many boys and girls run the two cars I own with safety and delight.
Your idea of fun seems to be a lot more fraught with terrible consequences from a simple but intriguing toy (if you were a kid!) You can find it silly or believe it too dangerous by your standards. But nothing in my experience makes that valid and I think your harsh critique of this toy is unfair and unrealistic. At worst it's noisy. That's it's only bad feature. You didn't bother to ask the folks who might own one or two before reviewing it so negatively via a 5 minute demo on TV. Don't buy the toy. But don't offer so much negativity to dissuade others when you never saw this toy for more than 5 minutes.

I respect your view glad to see you like it but I still have my opinion that this is not a good toy especially for younger children.

Your thread made a sale @Goodie2shoes...I purchased 2, the kids will have a blast with them in their basement playroom. I don't watch Q often so I missed them, Thanks.

My grands had a lot of fun with them. No damage at all and the older kids had fun too. (me too)

It looks like a fun toy. It defies gravity, even travelling across the ceiling. Seems like a good deal for $29.95.

Not for children please.
Children are not responsible, they will knock things off shelves, drive into electrical sockets and there is nothing good with this "toy" in the hands of a child.
I read your review but that's not the real world. The number of responsible parents is very low, it's sad but true. Most parents give the kids a phone, an E-Pad so they can sit and watch YouTube video's all day, that's the real world and if they get their hands on this toy, total destruction unsupervised and possibly injury.
It may be cool but it for a real small percentage of responsible people.
