My mom's Rite Aid closed with prescriptions transferred to Walgreens.  She's not happy about it because the Rite Aid had a much larger parking lot, easier to drive into/get out of, and had what she felt to be better, more personalized, customer service.  It was located in the center of town while the Walgreens is on the outskirts near the interstate and next door to Walmart. Lots of traffic in that area.   In her community, those who live or work near downtown really have to go out of their way to go to a pharmacy now.  Shame they couldn't make both stores work.

 

I go to a nearby Walgreens all the time.  Two of my former students are cashiers there and I feel like a celebrity each time I go in when they are there--always smiling with a sweet greeting when I walk in.  ❤️

I live in Maryland and all of the Rite Aid Stores have closed...Walgreens is still open
