Years ago I found a hair in a Nabisco cookie!  I wrote a letter and they sent me several boxes of all the Nabisco cookie flavors!

Another time, my son and I were eating at a pasta restaurant.  He found a long black, hair in his dish.  Neither of us had long, black hair, we were blonds!  Showed it to the manager...he was quite upset!  Could hear him yelling at the staff in the back kitchen.  We did get free meals and dessert, but didn't eat much!!

The only thing Walmart bakery did was frost & decorate the cake, they don't make them....ask for the name & contact info of the cake manufacturer & let them know what happened. Walmart will refund your money....Good Luck @Susan423.

Long ago a few friends and I went to a small family-owned restaurant where they had really good food and there was always a line of people waiting just inside the door. As we were waiting in line we caught a glimpse of what looked like a mouse running across the floor. The woman in front of us had on a long maxi dress which touched the floor and we saw the mouse go and hide under her dress. My friends and I looked at each other in shock and I whispered:  "Should I say something to that woman?" My friend replied:  "NO! don't say a word! There will be pandemonium in here with all of these people."  So we all agreed and walked out without saying a word...and never went back.

I special ordered a cake from Walmart for a birthday party tonight. My husband wanted me to bring him a piece home. So after everyone was served, I cut a big piece from the corner of the cake and brought it home. As he was eating it he pulled out a long piece of wire that was in the cake. A minute later he pulled out another piece of wire. Words cannot describe how upset I am. What if someone at the party had gotten that piece. I guess I should also consider myself lucky that I chose that piece to take home and it wasnt served to a guest. So I've ever both prices of the wires and I'm heading my angry self down to Wal-Mart tomorrow. Any advice on how to handle it. What should I say and expect them to say? I'm not even sure what to ask for or what they may offer. I just really don't want this to happen to anyone else.

@Susan423   Yes. The one and only time DDIL ordered a cake from WM I bit into my slice and found a metal decorating tip.  I don't know why she went there but she did go back and was given a refund.

It was the only time a cake was ordered from WM and of course never again.

Geez I did not know Walmart sold thawed frozen cakes. If that's what you're buying, just get a Sara Lee from the freezer section.

All the more reason to try one of those new Dolly Parton Duncan Hines cake mixes.

@SilleeMee    I once worked in an office that had mice.   I would make "spit-balls" out of scraps of paper and toss them out to the mice.    They loved to "fetch" and play !!!!    di

Re: Wal-Mart bakery

[ Edited ]

Talk to the manager. The store manager and the bakery manager, if they also have one of those. Ask for a case number. They should give you one. I suggest taking your own paper, since I was given my case number on a scrap of wrinkled paper. Someone from corporate should contact you within 24 hrs and they should be your claims manager. If there was no injury, not sure what they will do but will prob just offer you a little money, a refund for the cake,  or gift cards. It's Walmart. Sorry this happened to you and am so thankful your husband wasn't injured! Walmart should also be glad no one was injured. Could there be other wires in the cake?

@SilleeMee   Yup!    It was one of those "Garden Office Complexes" near the beach in California.   The pay was good (!), so I thought I would "make the best" of the situation, and they were mice (not rats), and kinda cute.    di
