Wal-Mart Savings Catcher using Wal-Mart Pay

Has anyone used the "saving's catcher" app since it changed

on Oct 29th?  I set up the Wal-Mart pay on my phone and

from what I was told at their customer service you have to scan

your receipt at the time of purchase using Wal-Mart pay.  I tried

it for the first time yesterday and it did scan for my groceries but

not sure it is also going to the savings catcher.  I received no

notice that my receipt had been recevied.  Just wondering if I am

doing something wrong.

I used it for the first time last week. I used the self-checkout and thankfully there was a customer service person nearby that helped walk me through it.

If you go into the app and click on savings catcher then click on recently submitted (I think that's what it says, don't have my phone near me), it will be there if it worked when you scanned the QR code at the register.

not going to use the savings catcher anymore since they changed it. i am not happy that you cannot add your receipt "after the fact."

@sunshine45  I’m kind of on the fence about it myself. I used it last week and I think I did get something from savings catcher later. But I don’t remember getting a paper receipt. Is that possible? What I don’t like about that is that if I’m using Ibotta, I don’t have a receipt to scan.

I’ll pay more attention to the receipt process next time.

eta...The transaction is in savings catcher but I got no $$ back.

@esmerelda

my s/o buys a lot from walmart. he hates downloading apps onto his phone. my kids wont download this app either. i used to just collect their receipts and add them to my savings catcher account. i can no longer do that. i have also noticed lately that i have less and less money given back to me via the app.

It's easy. After the payment was successful, scroll down to the bottom and click on "submit receipt".    I do that immediately so I won't forget.

I did get a paper receipt after I scanned the QR thingy in the app.
