Re: Waiting on PA restrictions

[ Edited ]

@bonnielu  Pennsylvania had some back in March on the Maryland, Ohio, Delaware borders. I haven't heard about any lately.

I know if you are from out of state and stop at a hotel overnight in any state that requires you to quarantine, some hotels are turning people in.

Re: Waiting on PA restrictions

It seems that QVC is nonetheless allowed to remain up and running as an "essential service."

@PA Mom-mom"Wolf has been the poster child for social distancing and wearing masks; and, now he has the covid. How did that happen?"

Wolf is asystomatic.  No telling how or when he became infected.  It would have happened between the last test & the current test.

N.J. Gov was infected a fews weeks ago but was asystomatic too.

Thread has now been made political,  by virtue of naming specific elected officials.   This thread is political and should be shuttered.

PA gov Press conference at 4 pm.  Breaking news.  25 minutes of 5 people talking.....and THEN 2 minutes of restrictions.  No indoor dining, gyms, any entertainment, theatres, casinos, bowling, school activities, museums, concert venues.   No indoor activities over 10 people.  Take out or curbside pickup only for restaurants..  Retail at 50%.  No mention of salons, or elective surgeries. In effect December 12 to January 4.

Sad for the people affected again.

Outdoor restaurant dining is still allowed.

We are pretty much staying within our state borders. But we literally are just a few miles from other states.  Does anyone actually stop you  if you wander, venture over into another state? Are there patrols?

@bonnielu We're in PA near the Jersey border.  We've been in NJ and you will see lighted signs mentioning that if you're from out of state to quarantine which  makes no sense if you live nearby and go back & forth all the time.  No one is being stopped as far as I can tell.

In PA we go to Philly occasionally and along 95 you'll see similar signs.

Re: Waiting on PA restrictions

Our governor extended our curfew until January 2nd.  We are under a curfew from 10:00p.m. until 5:00 a.m.  Everything is open.

Bars are open and allowed to have bands which makes zero sense to me.  Indoor dining is open with restrictions.  Gatherings are supposed to be limited to 10.

But of course, there is an exception to the curfew on Monday because the Browns are playing a Monday night game.

And Gov. Wolf tested positive yesterday with Covid.

Fortunately, Governor Wolf is asymptomatic and his wife has tested negative.

I wonder if it could be a False Positive??
