SF Bay Area, we sure are getting the rain where I am!

It came down most, if not all, of the night and it's sure heavy now.

I hope other areas of CA are getting a good drenching.

Your West coast rain has stretched to our area!!  Usually very dry Southwest had rain all night and supposedly, the rain will be with us all week!   Very different than other years -  hope it will help keep the terrible, blowing dust down during the spring!!

I'm really glad to hear that.  I said yesterday I was hoping it would reach down in the southern part of the state.

It's finally raining.  For how long, well, who knows.  Whatever it drops it is welcome.

Are you guys out of your drought yet?  I remember when we were thinking Atlanta was about to be out of drinking water a few years ago because we were so dry and then we got a couple hurricanes and we shut up about it.  Stay safe but I'm glad you're getting some relief.

They say the effects of the drought won't be over even with a heavy El Nino rain season this year.  It will take several years to get back to normal.  Sigh...

Hey Noel!  Hope all is well there.

We're currently having big, beautiful, fluffy snow!  Yay!  You know how I love winter and, so far this winter, it's almost been like what we had for - well, forever, until the last ten years or so.

I love those big fluffy flakes.  They are so beautiful and they fall in this really fluffy pile.

Stay safe. Heart

Whoever they are and what their agenda is.........The snowpack is above normal and the dams, reservoirs, lakes are filled.

I'm glad you're getting some rain, I know you said your area doesn't always get rain.  We've had that happen a lot lately, too.

Hi LR Smiley Happy

Unfortunately, the reservoirs up here aren't filled, but I think the snow level is doing pretty good.

I cannot speak to the mountain rainges in S. CA, but up here in the Sierras they have gotten more snow already than they got in the last couple of years, so that's good.

Obviously, it's not yet enough to make as much of a difference as it needs to make but I have hopes for a nice winter once again, like we used to have every year.    Last year the ski resorts only got a couple good weeks.  Of course, that's not all of what it's about but they need this as much as the rest of us do.  Smiley Happy

@chickenbutt

Tahoe also came through for the skiers.  So many small businesses were hurt in recent years by the lack of snow.

I follow the Yosemite Instagram feed and have been getting beautiful photos daily of the snow there.
