The unmistakably curly toes of Loewe's burgundy-tone sneakers were inspired by a pair of Moroccan slippers Jonathan Anderson once owned. The elf-like design is immediately playful and comes with suede panelling, leather trims, and white contrast lacing. Soft padding at the ankles ensure this high-top design is comfortable from toe to heel. Show yours off along with printed miniskirts and downtime denim alike.

Because they can. Someone will pay the nearly $700.00 for them and will think they are just everything they ever wanted.
There is always someone that will buy something no matter what anyone thinks of it. All they need is that one person.
Why would someone pay a really huge price on something for a child that the child will either destroy or outgrow in a short time? I wouldn't, but people will.
Why would someone spend a huge amount on a home that is many more square feet than they really need? I wouldn't, but many will.
To many these shoes will be the ugliest thing ever, but someone will buy and love them. And, not to worry, something even more ugly will be made and sold.
