I'm sure all the vendors/presenters are well versed and know the ins and outs of their products. They're paid to describe what they're selling and answer questions.

Next time you watch a show, notice if a host is adding anything that the vendor couldn't do himself/herself.

There are many threads about hosts that are the reason we're changing the channel or haven't watched at all.

If there were no hosts, problem solved.

To try to talk viewers into purchasing?

Then viewers (viewers like you) will nitpick about vendors they can't stand.

You must be kidding.    The host (David in particular) directs the camera person  for closeup shots - makes sure he and vendor stand in range of camera - many of the food vendors are young women who have never been on TV before - and when they stall out on what to say - the host picks up the lag.   There's a lot more than just blah blah blah.

There is so much available for on-line shopping that it is already affecting alot of the B&M stores.  It won't be long before the shopping channels will be a thing of the past.  They will eventually fall by the wayside unless they start offering their customers:

1) competitive prices

2) free shipping

3) better return policies including the costs

4) offer unique items you can not find elsewhere

5) hosts that come across more professional (in clothing, makeup and manners of presentation)

Just saying......

@Lucky Charm. Bad day, huh? A nasty reply wasn't called for...Am I the only one tired of certain hosts?

Shanus @Shanus....

That's a brilliant idea.   Think of the cost savings .... I heard that some hosts make up to $300,000 per year or more~!   That way, our S&H and RETURN costs can be lessened.  Again, brilliant.

@fthunt. Of course there are exceptions if a new vendor appears on a show. I was referring to the repeat, experienced ones.
