WHY....Blood Type

Why would a doctor refuse to fill out a lab order for DD (who is a young adult) to have her blood typed? I was willing to pay for it and still the doctor told DD she didn't want to do it.

Have you ever heard of such a thing? Other things happened on DD's first visit to this doctor and she will never be going back there.

What is the BIG secret about people finding out their blood type?
