Re: WHEN PURCHASING APPLIANCES ...

@shoekitty   I don't know anything about a change in the Speed Queen washer and dryers....I've had mine running with no issues for about a year now.  From what my appliance man told me, they are the quickest and easier to fix, should ever a problem arise...p.s., my appliance man was working on my dishwasher when I was told that, not the Speed Queens.

@sarahpanda   Oh, thank you for the info.  Knowing they are quick and easy to fix means they are less complicated. Yes!

Shoe kitty yes but I believe speed queen changed the washer a year or two later so they were good again. I saw on utube the year they changed the speed queen washer and it wash action was awful.

@Mz iMac Totally agree.  I have my car since 2018 and I still don't know how to open the sunroof or any other myriad of tricks my car does.  It parks itself.  Do I know how to this?  No.  Am I interested in learning?  No.  I'm petrified of it.  LOL!

I think the photo was what I had for many years--in white---had that thing for 20 years at least. It needed a few repairs but was nothing that cost much. Don't have a house anymore and prob won't ever again so buying appliances is not a thing for me. thank goodness!!

@Tinkrbl44

My washer and dryer are smart. I can be anywhere in the world with a Wi-Fi connection and find out what cycle my washer and dryer are in and they will report back to me when the clothes are finished washing and drying. You have no idea how impossible it was to convince my husband that I did not buy this washer and dryer for its Wi-Fi connectivity. I bought the washer because I was not limited on the amount of water I could use. Palcard on top of the washer said, "use all the water you want". Sold! He wouldn't like it, it has lots of options. I always buy extended warranties for my appliances and cars. It helps me sleep at night.

I have and am using a great Kitchen Aid clothes washing machine I bought in 1995.  I pray every time I put a load in.  It's never been repaired.
