Whether your reason is hard to fit .... very fussy .... or whatever .... what WON'T you purchase online?

For me, unless I am buying duplicates of something I already own, it's shoes and bras.  Have to go to the B&M stores for those.

What about you?

Re: WHAT WON'T YOU BUY ONLINE?

Depends on the brand & reviews whether I will buy online. I am also an extra-plus size, so I know what brands work for me. I would probably say shoes. I am not a big shoes person anyway, but those are a hard fit, unless you know the brands & correct size. Sometimes the B&M stores don't carry my size in undergarments, so I have no choice except online for some things.

As long as I know the brand and the size I am in that brand, I dont hesitate to buy online, especially if the price is right!!

and I also get an online rebate.

Same for me....I won't order shoes or any underwear online. I've bought too many shoes that are indicated to be "true to size" and they're always either too big or too small. Also, no meat or other foods, with the exception of nuts grown in the U.S.

Jewelry over a certain price point. I want to see if before I buy it.

Re: WHAT WON'T YOU BUY ONLINE?

Absolutely ditto. Certainly I only buy shoes after try-ons. I lucked out with a couple of Ryka styles bought on QVC, but not any more. I have “problem” feet and need to check out the fit first.

There is a certain Cacique bra I like from Lane Bryant.  I know my size in that garment and their product reliably stays unchanged.  I’ll order a few of those because I know exactly what I’ll get. Like you, it’s duplicating what I already own.

But if I want any different bra, for a different look or support option,  I go in person and deal with the nuisance of trying on before purchasing.

Re: WHAT WON'T YOU BUY ONLINE?

I don't like to order large items that would be hard to return.  I can't imagine ordering a mattress, for instance, on line.  I did, however, order two area rugs from Overstock.  It scared me to do it, because I knew it would be almost impossible to return them.  I couldn't find anything I liked as well locally, and fortunately I loved them.

I order clothes all the time, but usually from Loft and Anthropologie where I can return them locally.  I also order shoes, because I have flat feet and bunions and need comfort shoes.  There's a better selection online than I've been able to find locally.  I always order shoes from places that have free shipping and free returns.

Definitely bras

I can buy some shoes online, but not gym shoes or boots.   I have to try them on.

Bathing suits I like to try on, unless I’m replacing one that I know already fits

Re: WHAT WON'T YOU BUY ONLINE?

I buy a lot of stuff on line that I never thought I would.  I can't walk in stores now so I have no choice.

It's getting to the point where things you used to be able to buy in stores is not offered anymore but it is offered on line.

Here's an example.  I'm going to visit my daughter in Denver.   My entire family always had a recipe that was passed down through the years.  We call them 'hot puffs'.  All it is is fried hot dough puffed up by the grease.  We have it for breakfast.  My entire familily (sisters, brothers, everyone) has their favorite way of eating them.

Well I always bought "Duff's Hot Roll Mix" but in past years I had to buy Pillsbury hot roll mix.  Now I see where it's difficult to buy just one box in stores.  I see where you can buy them ON LINE through (of course) Amazon, Walmart, etc.

My daughter wants them while I'm there this coming week!  This is so frustrating!

There are several favorite foods I made (simple combinations) that my girls always loved.  When I visit they want me to make it for them.

Things they don't usually eat and I never cook anymore (i.e. fried potatoes, hot dogs, broccoli (must be frozen) I cook it to death and they put it on their hot dogs, pork and beans (must be Campbells).  Ha!

I think it just brings back good memories from their childhood.  They had a wonderful childhood and when they get together they always talk about it.  Talk leads to favorite foods and so on.  We'd have a day just theirs (if they did something THEY thought was worthy of a special day).  All they got to do was pick dinner.

So, there you have it.  Totally off subect of course, that's me!  Ha!  But she keeps texting me from Walmart, (some other grocery store I never heard of) and she's been to 3 so far!

It's getting to the point where many things are no longer offered in the stores.

I have friends who refuse to buy anything on the internet.  I think they're going to be out ouf luck eventually.

Mattress or anything like that which would be a pain to return.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
