@Cakers3wrote:Lucky enough that the Alamo college system has more than one college available.
Some restrictions-only 2 course at a time. No art studio or private music lessons.
Some course may be restricted due to program prerequisites.
Have to show up the first day of the semester to register and see if there is space available.
Many courses are online anyway so driving may not be an issue.
*snort* I can see me showing up with a notebook and a pen while everyone else has computers of some sort.
Books and lab fees are on me.
LOL! I would show up with my always at-the-ready Steno pad and pen with a back up. We could sit next to each other and then go to the Commons for coffee and checking out the younger generation 🙃

@ALRATIBAwrote:I majored in English with a minor in Classical Studies (ancient history, philosophy, languages, literature, mythology, archaeology).
I looked into doing a Masters in Classical Studies ... but couldn't find a school that offered the particular concentration I wanted ... so I've been studying on my own for years and years and yearss.
At this particular moment in time though, I'd major in Philosophy.
I loved philosophy. There’s a lot of ancient history attached to that, so it would be perfect for you! We are so lucky, the internet makes it easy to wander and do our own studies.
You're right about the internet. There are several Catholic organizations that offer free online webinars. I'm particularly interested in the influence of Plato on Augustine and Aristotle on Aquinas. And, the influence of the Roman stoics. And ... lots of the classic literature is available on Kindle for next to nothing prices.
Happiness is merely the absence of pain.
The Stoics
@Noel7 I'm currently reading Seneca.
You go girl!

I took four years of French in high school and I wish I would have kept going. I've thought about taking adult education for Spanish as it is widely spoken in the USA . I admire European countries for insisting children be multi-lingual.
Working closely with the legal profession as I did, i would go to law school if I could have a do-over.
