To me, a smart person can easily learn and retain facts/information. A wise person understands the consequences of using facts/information.

If it has seeds it is technically a fruit. Tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and a host of other "vegetables" are actually fruits.
However, there is an 1893 Supreme Court ruling that says tomatoes are vegetables which just goes to show that the current Court is not the only one to get things wrong.
That's accurate but there's more.
Botanically speaking, a fruit develops from the part of the plant that flowers. That is the part that contains the seeds, as Marp said. The other parts of plants that we eat are leaves, stalks, stems, roots, tubers and those are the parts of the plants that are considered "vegetables."
