Proof of Heaven. I've always been interested in what people who have been declared ""brain dead "" have to say about what they remember about their experiences.

None, actually.

I'm not a fan of books - at least, those that I've read - being made into movies. I like to remember the characters and settings as I imagined them to be, based on the author's wonderful words.

""Joshua"" by Joseph Girzone...I read this book many years ago; Joshua was the equivalent of a Modern Day Jesus and it was very thought provoking.

Mythago Wood by Robert Holdstock

I have no idea why this amazing book and its subsequent sequels have not by picked up by any major movie company. I am hoping ~ since with the success of shows like Game of Thrones and Once Upon a Time ~ that perhaps a cable station such as HBO or Showtime, will do a series on them.

If you love English legends, this is a wonderful series of books.

I would also enjoy seeing The Hangman's Daughter by Oliver Pötzsch series made into movies as well. Those are very enjoyable books to read ~ murder mysteries set in what-is-now Germany in the mid 17th century.

Honolulu or Molokai by Alan Brennert. This man can write. His books are extremely well researched period pieces that you're drawn into. I couldn't put the books down when I was reading them.

Any of the mysteries by James Lee Burke. I think his settings and characters would be interesting on screen. My students (fifth graders) have always wanted to see a movie made of The Cay by Theodore Taylor. There was a made for TV movie created in the 70's, but I can't find a copy. I believe James Earl Jones played Timothy. Actually, I can think of more children's books I'd like to see as movies than books written for adults....Number the Stars, Alan and Naomi, anything written by Richard Peck with The character of Grandma Dowdel....
