Another nice day here, a bit on the breezy side though.

I'm making chicken taco stew in the slow cooker, have been going through some of my fall recipes.

I scheduled my flu shot for next Wed. since I will be at the clinic for a blood draw that morning.

Lots going on with the dock workers strike, devastation from Helene, and Iran planning a missile attack. I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with all of the news.

Had a very long day Monday and what a confusing one!

Went to vote early with 2 friends. in another town where county court house is... but.voting place was moved to another building..near voting in county court building.

Inside...there was a policewoman that hadus put watches,etc ,purse in container.. then had us go through scanner... then we got patted down...

then told us thatwe had to fill out a paper for info for voting judges....then was instructed to take paper to a another lady..who put info in computer...i was then told'i couldn't vote there!!!!

uhshe told me that..last year i voted by mail and signed up for permant voteing by mail!

So i was told i needed to go into court house and sign another paper so i could vote in person...

well i did...had to go thugh another scanner but no pat down...darn...that man er officer was good looking

....he told me what office to go to...so i did...

oh my gosh..i waited and waited for a office person to come to counter to talk to me.....finally one did and went to get another paper for me to sign to discontune voting by mail....she then took my paper afterwards and i waited and waited for her to return with a voting ballet...it took soo long but finally

I got to vote and leave!

Meanwhile my 2 friends was waiting in their car and got worried as i was gone for so long!

After i finally got in car..we went to a resturant to eat, then went to Walmart...this time i was done first grocery shopping...and waited over a hour standing by exit doors....finally they came and we left

but stopped at a DQ for a small ice cream with hot fudge on it....then we came back to our town and brought me home...i was really wore out!

But i did walk later with my neighbor,her dh and 2 1/2 yr. old grandson.

Today don't know yet what i will be doing??

hope to stay home and rest or do laundry.

Thank you for sharing your experience which shows how desperate some are to STOP CITIZENS FROM VOTING. Many people would not have waited and gone through the hoops you did. Many would just give up. What state do you live in, if you don't mind me asking?

I only wanted to vote early and didn't realized what i signed up last year to vote by mail..instead of in person...and now i got it changed and voted like i wanted to yesterday in person.

Spent about two hours early this morning untangling #1 weight wool yarn that I tangled while rolling the skein into balls because I didn't want to set up the swift yarn winder. I have 10 more skeins to roll ... I'll set up the swift next time.

Went grocery shopping

Untangled some a bit more of the yarn

Had lunch

Now ;.... waiting for the start of our Monthly Zoom meeting

Later after meeting .... untangle more yarn, and continue working on my sweater.

Thank you friends for cheering me on with my pain issues. Some days it is very minor but with the rain & humidity it flares up.

I forgot to add that though my doctor is very pleasant & encouraging, it would help if he was a Dr.🔥!
