Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY????

We came back from a short vacation and drove through the area that was detoured when we went down. A 350 acre fire had destroyed an area right up to the side of the road.

Right after we got home, some puffy snowflakes started coming down. I made chili and brownies, which seemed perfect for our first snowfall of the season.

I'm anxious to start decorating for Christmas.

Hello to all who post and read ❤️

Expecting some severe weather and flood warnings are issued. My little area is not at a severe risk due to the way our streets trend downward but I hope people pay attention and do not drive around barriers.

DH is not doing well - just another round of in-focus and out-focus but concern about some intensifying behaviors.🥺

No reply yet about volunteering at the new facility.

Be well.💐🙏

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY????

My "wellness check" got cancelled yesterday. I got a phone call saying the doctor was ill.

After getting 2" of snow yesterday we had dense fog roll in last night. The driveway is slick this morning. Glad I don't have to go anywhere today.

I think today will be a lazy day and I will do some reading and put some books on hold at the library.

Enjoy your day.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY????

I had a 1:00 appointment at the dealership to get a new battery for my Highlander.  Trucker daughter checked my vehicle over the weekend, cleaned off a good amount of corrosion on the battery and asked how old it was.  Since I'm starting on year 8, I decided it was time to replace, as that much corrosion means there was a dead cell in there, and I prefer to do my running in my vehicle over the truck.
Since there were only 5 vehicles in the IGA parking lot, I decided it was a great time to stop and buy the bulky stuff I need that takes up so much room in the cart when I shop.  The 2 trips are worth it to get away from filling the cargo area as well as the back seat and floor area, making a dozen trips to empty once I get home.
Also stopped by the bank to get some cash.  My tummy was rumbling pretty heavy, but nothing appealed to me, so I passed every type of food offered locally to come home and prep a quick chicken stir fry.
Currently 56 degrees with rain clouds moving in.  I welcome a nice good rain and hope we get soaking showers before deer season with guns starts on Monday.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY????

Walked fur baby 3.25 miles today.

Received Call Car Is Ready to Pick Up:   My husband's 1982 Chevy has been in the shop for 3 months.  They're resealing the engine, new water pump, new power brake lines, power steering lines, etc. They said they were going to work on it between their regular jobs.  I'm glad I'm bringing it home before we get snow as my husband never drove the car in rain or snow/salt.   It's probably a car I'll sell eventually, but I can't do it for awhile as it has too many good memories.

Raked Leaves....Again:   For the past few days the front yard has been looking pretty good, but now the backyard needs attention.   Used a leaf blower and gathered leaves in a big pile and then bagged them.    Gosh, I felt a little young for awhile playing in the pile of leaves!!!  Smiley Happy

Went grocery shopping:   I probably was not due to go until the weekend; however, I've gone before on the weekend before Thanksgiving and the stores are crazy.  Picked up just a few things to carry me past the holiday.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY????

I have today off..woke up with a headache, ugh...hope that is not the 'tone' of the day.

I have a hair appointment at 8:30 and then home to do some things...leaves need raked again, while I don't mind raking I would prefer someone to come around with a riding mower and a lawn sweep or what it's called and pick them up....

Walked fur baby 1.5 miles today.

Picked up husband's car today.  If I had asked they would of had someone pick me up, but I try hard not to ask for a favor if it's something I can handle on my own.  My thought is that I know there are going to be things in the future I cannot do by myself so I want to "save" asking for help until I really need it.     Since my husband's "car" is an El Camino it has a truck bed.   So......I rode my husband's bicycle about 3 miles to the shop,  put the bicycle in the bed of the vehicle and drove it home.  The guys at the shop were smiling when they heard how I got there!

Spoke to brother-in-law:  We'll be meeting at my father-in-law's for Thanksgiving, so he called to give me details regarding time, who will and will not be there, etc.

Received HSN  package in mail:    I been enjoying lately the Doll 10 line of cosmetics.  I picked up two blushes.  The HSN price for two was the same price as QVC; however, with QVC you only received one.

Our weather is going to be fairly good for the next 3 - 4 days, so I will try to get a few errands done tomorrow while all is good weather wise.
