I have been fighting a cold since Friday. Today is an inservice day at school and speech pathologists are on their own to do on line continuing education for licensure and certification. I have more than enough continuing education so decided to take a sick day to try to rest and recover from my cold.
I have spoke to my contracting company about the fact that I am considering retiring and the reasons why. My reps are appalled by the way I am being treated and fully support my decision to leave. Others have encouraged me to reach out to administration to explain why I am considering leaving so I have drafted a email to the principal , lead speech pathologist, director of special education and assistant superintendent (who I have a positive relationship with). I want the reps at my contracting company to review it before I send it.
Sending good thoughts out to @viva923 and @RedTop who have far more difficult situations to deal with than I do but I appreciate anyone who takes the time to listen to me.

@AuntG
oh please keep mr. rodgers back in green bay.... my dh is a long suffering Jet fan, and he's not happy about this. well he's not usually happy- i'm often asking, why do you watch the game when it aggravates you?? he doesn't have a good answer. ![]()
i see my tulips popping up thru the earth- outdoor chores starting soon = ugh. i'm sorry to see the winter leaving here, since we barely had a touch of it. i know others are still suffering and will do so, as alot of their excess snow melts into excess water.
today i cooked and froze some zucchini, and some pasta.
i like having small serving packets of pre cooked individual things in my freezer, that i can mix and match and heat up quickly for dinner. my current 'packet' inventory includes cooked chicken, butternut squash, brown rice, roasted potatoes, yellow and sweet. until i tried it, didn't know that cooked potato cubes freeze and heat nicely. i add them to scrambled eggs.
in the summer i like to roast all different colors of local tomatoes together- adding a packet of those bumps up the flavor from the usual bland concoctions i make.
hoping everyone has a decent weekend! ![]()

@viva923, oh no. Maybe he needs to order an antibiotic ASAP. I sure don't want you to have to go through any more surgeries. Hope you hear back from your Dr. sooner rather than later.

Am sorry to hear about the pressure ulcer under your toe; these wounds are scary and you must be vigilant with care efforts to heal them. I hope this open wound heals quickly!
A simple blister on my husbands foot is what led to his amputation procedure in 2019. Dressing foot wounds just seems to be what I do.
I have mentioned before how you seem to have such a rigid daily routine with laundry, cleaning, your walks, etc., so I feel sure it is extremely hard for you to have limited movement for the weeks it takes to heal after these foot surgeries. I would think multiple surgeries has rendered the skin on your feet very fragile, and cannot imagine your doctor wanting you on your feet except for bathroom trips, and limited walking on appt days, not short walks around the block. Do take care of yourself, as these open wounds are serious!
