I think I have that problem too. I got a Toni Brattin wig a couple months ago and after a week, sent it back. I may be allergic to something in the band because I had a red bump at the back of my neck.

I bought a wig cap to use instead of the fine hair net but that made my head hot.

I would rather try them on locally if I want to try again. I really hated it didn’t work out.

Here are two sites I know about:  Vogue or Paula Young.

Hi Catlover,

I know of several wigs that come in both average and large sizes.  Here they are:

"Sky" Large by Noriko

"Reese" Large by Noriko

"Voltage" Large by Raquel Welch

"Salsa" Large by Raquel Welch

Also, the Estetica wig maker is known for having roomy, stretchy caps to their wigs, even their average wigs.

You can view at wigs.com, Wilshire Wigs, namebrandwigs, wigs by patti's pearls, and other online retailers mentioned by others.  Wigs.com especially, has videos on virtually all of their wigs.

If you google the name of a wig plus youtube,  like "Sky"  Noriko youtube", you'll pull up a number of other videos by various wig reviewers wearing Sky, and you can see if you like it on them.  Then you can go back to the online retailer of your choice to look at prices, colors available, etc.

Good luck, and I hope you do have fun!

I see on QVC Toni now has some wigs sized "plus".  I think this is new for her.  Also, I think I saw something on facebook where she will be having a TSV soon.  You may want to check the program guide.  Hope this helps Smiley Happy

I used to wear wigs all the time when they became popular in the late 60's and 70's. I thought I looked great in them, but I was very young. I bought a Toni B. wig last year and looked ridiculous in it and there was no mistaking that it indeed was a wig.

How can anyone really tell about how a wig fits or looks by watching/ordering online or TV---go to you local wig shop and have a pro help you!! I had 3 of them during my 5 months of chemo that were FABULOUS and fit well and looked real and felt great. Got 3 different "dream " styles and wore them constantly. I donated them after my hair grew back. You need to try them on, fluff them, comb them, adjust them and if necessary, have them trimmed, any wig shop will do that for you.
