I have the Rowenta ProMaster Steam iron with the extra-long burst of steam. It stopped working.
I made a mixture of 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 16 of water. I filled the iron and ironed an old towel, just to use the steam.
Now the burst of steam works again, like new. Then I tried the water and vinegar in my Waterpik because it wasn't working well, just like new too.

Absolutely a wonderful reminder that all our appliances that use water needs to be de-scaled on a regular basis~! I have several gallons of vinegar stored in the garage..... ! Thank you!

@pugvette74...I am going to assume you used white vinegar. You might want to clarify what you used before someone asks, as I'm sure someone will. LOVE white vinegar for cleaning windows and shower tiles. Also great for killing weeds.
Edited to add that I also use white vinegar in my coffee maker once a month to clean it.

Vinegar is what I use in cleaning my sink, my countertop and my bathroom showers, toilets and sinks but I do get more stringent with the chopping board where I cut meat.
Vinegar can be used to soften your water as well. So many uses for it. Too many to count.

White vinegar is an awesome cleaner.
We have hard water, so use white vinegar and water to clean most everything.
I found a recipe some time ago for a shower and tub cleaner. Mix 1 cup of vinegar with 2 T. of dishwasher rinse. Add that to a spray bottle and fill the remainder of the bottle with water. Works marvelous for soap scum, no spots, water runs right off. Love it, makes the dreaded shower cleaning job easy.
Use it to clean my electric tea kettle and coffee press, too.
Cheaper cleaner than all those things at the store.

Love to use vinegar with some baking soda in laundry as well. I used unscented detergent and the clothes smell fresher and its a nice natural softening agent as well.

Just not on a granite countertop.

I have really hard water, and I use white vinegar to unclog my shower head. It works like a charm.
