Thank you for sharing. I believe we will see many moving tributes over the next coming days. Having her children standing guard around her coffin follows protocol. I believe royal protocol will be followed throughout.
May Her Majesty rest in peace.

Princess Ann had on a uniform. How many years did she serve in the military?
@Mz iMac - I'll just elaborate on what @Somertime said, because I was curious too! Princess Anne never served on active duty. She wears a uniform because her many ranks and titles are honorary ones. Members of the royal family are allowed to do this. Prince Edward did serve in the Royal Marines for a few months, but dropped out. He also has honorary ranks and wears a uniform.

Very moving. Even with all of the public ceremony, they are grieving the loss of their beloved mother. This is the epitome of the "stiff upper lip" the British have longed referred to. I am sure they are all putting duty above themselves and are getting little sleep. I pray for all of them to make it through the next week or so with grace and strength.

Whenever the mother dies, it always seems to be the daughter who takes the lead in the things that must be addressed afterward. The Queen's death is no different. Princess Anne has been a trooper thus far.

I had the news on in the background when this happened, and I noticed that Anne is walking with a cane. I wonder if she had some injuries during her years as an equestrienne.
She looks stoic, but devastated. All this brings back my own motherr's funeral; does anyone else feel that way?
They have been trained to be impassive on camera but both Charles and Anne look so very sad. It's natural, I know, but my heart goes out to them.
